(SOL3398) Network Equipment-Building System (NEBS) is a set of specifications for network and telecommunications equipment that was originally developed by the North American Public Switched Network for the public telephone system used in their central office. A product that is NEBS certified has passed a suite of tests ensuring that it operates reliably even in adverse environmental conditions, does not negatively affect collocated equipment, and does not harm the environment or personnel.
